In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Veterans Memorial Chargers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Port Isabel Tarpons.
The Chargers (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record.
The Tarpons now sport a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pace for a non-league test on Friday, August 22.
