Covington Chargers (Covington, TN) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Chargers face the Ripley Tigers (Ripley, TN) in a AA District 15 challenge, on Thursday, September 1. Covington will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record.

The Choctaws now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crockett County for a AA District 14 challenge on Tuesday, August 30.
