The Goldsboro Cougars held off the host C.B. Aycock Golden Falcons volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cougars now have a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rosewood for a non-league test on Thursday, August 25. Goldsboro will confront a Eagles team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to South Lenoir (Deep Run, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
The Golden Falcons (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Princeton (Princeton, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Princeton was nudged by South Johnston (Four Oaks, NC), 2-1, in a non-league test.
