The Gulf Coast Sharks held off the host Lemon Bay Manta Rays volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Sharks now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barron Collier for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 30. Gulf Coast will confront a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Fort Myers (Fort Myers, FL). The Cougars record now stands at 2-0.
The Manta Rays (0-1) will now prepare for their test against North Port (North Port, FL). The Bobcats enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, North Port was nudged by Sarasota (Sarasota, FL), 2-0, in a league test.
