Next up, the Pioneers clash with the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 25. Heritage will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Comets come into the match with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).

With the loss, Nelson County drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Governors host Amherst County (Amherst, VA) to clash with the Lancers in a non-league match on Thursday, August 25. The Lancers come into the match with a record of 0-0.
