Alpharetta Raiders (Alpharetta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Roswell Hornets (Roswell, GA), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pope for a 6A Region 7 challenge on Thursday, August 25. Alpharetta will battle a Greyhounds squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Lambert (Suwanee, GA). The Greyhounds record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, Roswell falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Forsyth Central (Cumming, GA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 25. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 7-4. Forsyth Central lost 13-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Sprayberry (Marietta, GA)
