Virginia High School Volleyball - Appomattox County over Amherst County

Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) supporters left the game in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), 3-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Raiders clash with the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, August 25. Appomattox County will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 3-1 league loss to Nottoway (Nottoway, VA).

With the loss, Amherst County drops to 2-1 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA) to clash with the Governors in a non-league match on Thursday, August 25. The Governors come into the match with a record of 1-0. Nelson County won 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA)
