With the win, Betsy Layne upgrades its record to 2-1 on the year. The Bobcats host Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY) to play the Black Cats in a District 58 bout on Thursday, August 25. The Black Cats go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Prestonsburg won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY)

The Hawks now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Phelps for a District 60 bout on Monday, August 29.
