The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Union Bears (Appalachia, VA) and the visiting Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA), saw Union's volleyball squad beat Rye Cove by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Union upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Bears host Lee (Jonesville, VA) to play the Generals in a Mountain 7 bout on Tuesday, September 6. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 4-0.
The Eagles now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Central Wise for a non-league bout on Thursday, August 25.
