The Marion County Eagles (Buena Vista, GA) softball routed the visiting Shaw Raiders (Columbus, GA), 10-1 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Eagles (7-5) will now prepare for their bout against Macon County (Montezuma, GA). The Bulldogs go into the 1A D-II Region 6 bout with a 0-0 record.
The Raiders now possess a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Bainbridge for a 4A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, August 29. Shaw will confront a Bearcats squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-4.
