The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets volleyball team (Bessemer City, NC), went down 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league challenge with the host Huss Huskies (Gastonia, NC)

The Huskies (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against North Gaston (Dallas, NC). The Wildcats enter the Big South 3A challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, North Gaston went down by East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Yellow Jackets encounter the Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A challenge, on Thursday, August 24. Bessemer City will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Gryphons enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Pinnacle Classical Academy (Shelby, NC).
