The California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs held off the host Santa Rosa Academy Rangers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Cubs now have a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Academy for Academic Excellence for a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 29. California School for the Deaf-Riverside will battle a Knights squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Victor Valley (Victorville, CA). The Knights record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Santa Rosa Academy drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Rangers host Desert Christian Academy (Bermuda Dunes, CA) to battle the Conquerors in a South Valley contest on Thursday, August 24. The Conquerors come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Desert Christian Academy won 3-1 in their recent non-league contest against Indio (Indio, CA)
