In Friday's non-league match, the host King's Academy Lions football squad scored a good 44-20 triumph over the Conway Christian Eagles.
The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Cross (Bluffton, SC). The Stingrays come into the SCISA 8-Man Region II (8 Man) match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Cross was beaten by Jefferson Davis Academy (Blackville, SC), 54-0, in a league match.
Coming up next, the Eagles confront the Holly Hill Academy Raiders (Holly Hill, SC) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 30. Conway Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Raiders come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 34-26 non-league win over Carolina Wildcats (Pickens, SC).
