The Wister Wildcats softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Kiowa Cowboys to 5 in the Wildcats non-league win on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Whitesboro for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 24. Wister will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 6-2 league win over Caney (Caney, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-0.

With the loss, Kiowa moves to 8-4 on the season. The Cowboys host Hartshorne (Hartshorne, OK) to confront the Miners in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 24. The Miners come into the battle with a record of 4-4. Hartshorne won 11-5 in their recent non-league battle against Vanoss (Ada, OK)
