In Friday's league match, the host Stuart Hornets softball team scored a tight 6-1 win over the Red Oak Eagles.

The Hornets (11-1) will now prepare for their match against Savanna (Savanna, OK). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 2-7 record. In their last match, Savanna was routed by Howe (Howe, OK), 11-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Whitesboro Bulldogs (Whitesboro, OK) in a Class B match, on Monday, August 26. Red Oak will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 9-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Wister (Wister, OK).
