University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Vanden Vikings (Fairfield, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Vikings meet the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 23. Vanden will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 2-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Las Plumas (Oroville, CA).
