Mission Bay Buccaneers (San Diego, CA) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their flag football team tip the visiting Hoover Cardinals (San Diego, CA), 8-7 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Mission Bay upgrades its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Madison (San Diego, CA) to meet the Warhawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. The Warhawks go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Madison lost 13-6 in their recent league challenge against Kearny (San Diego, CA)

The Cardinals (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Holtville (Holtville, CA). The Vikings come into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Holtville tipped Southwest EC (El Centro, CA), 26-0, in a non-league test.
