Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA) and the visiting Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA), observed Venice's volleyball team hold off Taft by a count of 2-1.

The Gondoliers (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica (Santa Monica, CA). The Seawolves go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Pacifica Christian/Santa Monica tipped Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.

The Toreadors now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Venice for a non-league test on Monday, August 25. Taft will play a Gondoliers team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Chaminade (West Hills, CA). The Gondoliers record now stands at 2-1.
