In Saturday's non-league bout, the American Christian Academy Patriots (Tuscaloosa, AL) volleyball team held off the host Brookwood Panthers (Brookwood, AL), by a margin of 2-1.
The Patriots now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Northside for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 23.
With the loss, Brookwood drops to 3-1 on the year. The Panthers host Central (Tuscaloosa, AL) to battle the Falcons in a 6A Area 6 contest on Tuesday, August 26. The Falcons enter the contest with a record of 1-2. Central lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against South Lamar (Millport, AL)
