Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Barbers Hill Eagles (Mt. Belvieu, TX) and the host Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX), observed Barbers Hill's volleyball team hold off Magnolia by a tally of 2-1.

The Eagles (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against Clear Lake (Houston, TX). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 6-3 record. In their last battle, Clear Lake was edged by Needville (Needville, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Bulldogs now own a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tomball Memorial for a 6A Region II District 15 battle on Tuesday, August 26. Magnolia will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Americas (El Paso, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-5.
