With the win, Shelby Valley improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY) to meet the Warriors in a District 59 challenge on Saturday, August 23. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 0-3. East Ridge lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Pikeville (Pikeville, KY)

Next, the Bobcats face the Jenkins Cavaliers (Jenkins, KY) in a non-league test, on Monday, August 25. Betsy Layne will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Cavaliers go into the test with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Belfry (Belfry, KY).
