East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Johnson Central edged Floyd Central (Eastern, KY), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hawks play the Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY) in a non-league game, on Monday, August 25. Pike County Central will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record.
