In Saturday's non-league match, the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) volleyball squad overcame the visiting West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS), by a margin of 2-0.

The Urchins (17-2) will now prepare for their contest against Myrtle (Myrtle, MS). The Hawks enter the Class 2A Region 2 contest with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Myrtle dropped by Pine Grove (Ripley, MS), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Eagles now own a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Myrtle for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 23. West Union will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Pine Grove (Ripley, MS). The Hawks record now stands at 2-5.
