With the win, Mt. Carmel upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Sundevils travel to Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA) to meet the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next, the Vaqueros meet the Valhalla Norsemen (El Cajon, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 23. El Capitan will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Norsemen go into the test with a 1-2 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Grossmont (El Cajon, CA).
