Garrison Bulldogs (Garrison, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the visiting Kilgore Bulldogs (Kilgore, TX), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against West Rusk (New London, TX). The Raiders enter the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, West Rusk got by Carlisle (Price, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Grace Community Cougars (Tyler, TX) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 23. Kilgore will attempt to improve on its 12-6 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 2-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX).
