Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS) and the host Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS), observed Gulfport's volleyball team top Long Beach by a tally of 2-0.

The Admirals (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Oak Grove was defeated by Petal (Petal, MS), 3-2, in a league test.

The Bearcats now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Purvis for a non-league test on Saturday, August 23. Long Beach will meet a Tornadoes team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, MS). The Tornadoes record now stands at 8-2.
