Hardin Valley Academy Hawks (Knoxville, TN) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Powell Panthers (Powell, TN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record.

Next, the Panthers play the Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) in a AAA District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. Powell will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Mavericks go into the game with a 1-4 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to West Ridge (Blountville, TN).
