Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Shasta Wolves (Redding, CA) and the host Red Bluff Spartans (Red Bluff, CA), observed Shasta's volleyball team hold off Red Bluff by a count of 2-1.
The Wolves (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against University Prep (Redding, CA). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, University Prep tipped Pierce (Arbuckle, CA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
The Spartans now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yreka for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 26. Red Bluff will encounter a Miners squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to West Valley (Cottonwood, CA). The Miners record now stands at 4-3.
