In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Spotswood Trailblazers volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Waynesboro Little Giants.
The Trailblazers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Fort Defiance nudged Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Little Giants encounter the East Rockingham Eagles (Elkton, VA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 29. Waynesboro will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
