Berrien Rebels (Nashville, GA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Sumter County Panthers (Americus, GA), 12-0 in a league challenge.

The Rebels now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lowndes for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 25. Berrien will face a Vikings squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Lee County (Leesburg, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Sumter County falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Cook (Adel, GA) to face the Hornets in a 2A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, August 29. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 8-0.
