Texas High School Volleyball - Katy Taylor over Akins

Katy Taylor Mustangs (Katy, TX) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Akins Eagles (Austin, TX), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, August 26. Katy Taylor will attempt to advance on its 14-8 season record. The Lions come into the match with a 10-6 record after their 2-0 non-league win over San Marcos (San Marcos, TX).

With the loss, Akins drops to 3-12 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Anderson (Austin, TX) to clash with the Trojans in a 6A Region IV District 26 match on Tuesday, August 29. The Trojans come into the match with a record of 20-3. Anderson lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against McKinney (McKinney, TX)
