The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Cheyenne Desert Shields (North Las Vegas, NV) and the host Cristo Rey St. Viator Royals (North Las Vegas, NV), saw Cheyenne's volleyball squad beat Cristo Rey St. Viator by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Cheyenne upgrades its record to 2-7 on the year. The Desert Shields travel to Bonanza (Las Vegas, NV) to play the Bengals in a non-league bout on Monday, August 28. The Bengals go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Bonanza lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Rancho (Las Vegas, NV)

The Royals now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Moapa Valley for a 3A Southern - Desert bout on Wednesday, August 30. Cristo Rey St. Viator will play a Pirates squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Mater Academy East Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV). The Pirates record now stands at 5-4.
