The Clarksdale Wildcats held off the host Cleveland Central Wolves volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Wildcats now have a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greenville for a Class 5 Region 3 test on Tuesday, August 29. Clarksdale will confront a Hornets team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 0-4.
The Wolves (3-1) will now prepare for their test against South Panola (Batesville, MS). The Tigers enter the non-league test with a 1-6 record. In their last test, South Panola was nudged by Caledonia (Caledonia, MS), 2-0, in a non-league test.
