The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Excel Panthers (Excel, AL) and the visiting Hillcrest Jaguars (Evergreen, AL), saw Excel's volleyball squad beat Hillcrest by a tally of 25-20.

With the win, Excel upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Panthers host Clarke County (Grove Hill, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, August 28. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

The Jaguars now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Thomasville for a 3A Area 4 bout on Thursday, August 31.
