Georgia High School Volleyball - Islands over Wayne County

Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Wayne County Yellow Jackets (Jesup, GA), 2-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Sharks clash with the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, August 29. Islands will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Rebels come into the match with a 4-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Statesboro (Statesboro, GA).

With the loss, Wayne County moves to 2-3 on the year. The Yellow jackets host Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA) to face the Tigers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 29. The Tigers go into the contest with a record of 0-3.
