St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting St. Albans Red Dragons (St. Albans, WV), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, St. Joseph Central advances its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Irish host Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV) to clash with the Big Blacks in a non-league test on Tuesday, August 27. The Big Blacks come into the test with a record of 0-1. Point Pleasant lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV)
The Red Dragons now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hurricane for a Mountain State test on Tuesday, August 27. St. Albans will clash with a Redskins team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV). The Redskins record now stands at 0-1.
