Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Fall River Bulldogs (McArthur, CA) and the visiting Maxwell Panthers (Maxwell, CA), observed Fall River's volleyball team hold off Maxwell by a count of 2-1.

The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against University Prep (Redding, CA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, University Prep nipped Pierce (Arbuckle, CA), 2-1, in a non-league bout.

With the loss, Maxwell drops to 4-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Durham (Durham, CA) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 27. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 2-0. Durham won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Las Plumas (Oroville, CA)
