The North Murray Mountaineers triumphed over the host Chattooga Indians softball squad by a count of 5-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Mountaineers play the Coahulla Creek Colts (Dalton, GA) in a 2A Region 7 challenge, on Monday, August 26. North Murray will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Colts enter the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 1-0 league win over Ringgold (Ringgold, GA).

The Indians (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Dade County (Trenton, GA). The Wolverines enter the 1A D-I Region 7 challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Dade County edged Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA), 3-1, in a league challenge.
