The Gretna Dragons softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Papillion-LaVista Monarchs to 1 in the Dragons non-league win on Saturday.

The Dragons now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bennington for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 27. Gretna will encounter a Badgers team coming off a 8-7 non-league loss to Scottsbluff (Scottsbluff, NE). The Badgers record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Papillion-LaVista moves to 4-1 on the season. The Monarchs travel to Elkhorn South (Omaha, NE) to encounter the Storm in a A District battle on Tuesday, August 27. The Storm come into the battle with a record of 3-2. Elkhorn South lost 6-1 in their recent non-league battle against Millard West (Omaha, NE)
