The Standish-Sterling Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Carrollton Cavaliers to 0 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Panthers now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Houghton Lake for a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 27. Standish-Sterling will play a Bobcats team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Cadillac (Cadillac, MI). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Carrollton drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Bullock Creek (Midland, MI) to play the Lancers in a Tri-Valley - Central outing on Monday, August 26. The Lancers come into the outing with a record of 1-0. Bullock Creek won 3-2 in their recent non-league outing against Chippewa Hills (Remus, MI)
