The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting George West Longhorns to 1 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Yoakum for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 3.

With the loss, George West drops to 2-11 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX) to play the Bobcats in a non-league outing on Tuesday, August 27. The Bobcats come into the outing with a record of 2-2. Skidmore-Tynan won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX)
