In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Sacred Heart Academy Irish volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Oscoda Owls.

The Irish (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Carson City-Crystal (Carson City, MI). The Eagles come into the Mid-State challenge with a 1-5 record.

Next, the Owls play the Beaverton Beavers (Beaverton, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 26. Oscoda will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Beavers enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Onekama (Onekama, MI).
