Georgia High School Volleyball - Sonoraville over Southeast Whitfield County

August 24, 2024: Calhoun, GA 30701

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA) and the visiting Southeast Whitfield County Raiders (Dalton, GA), observed Sonoraville's volleyball team top Southeast Whitfield County by a count of 2-0.

The Phoenix (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Chattooga (Summerville, GA). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Chattooga was knocked off by Armuchee (Rome, GA), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Raiders battle the Cedartown Bulldogs (Cedartown, GA) in a 4A Area 7 contest, on Tuesday, August 27. Southeast Whitfield County will attempt to move on its 3-11 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 7-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Rockmart (Rockmart, GA).
