The Braxton County Eagles soccer team scored 8 points and limited the host Petersburg Vikings to 2 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.

Next, the Eagles face the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 27. Braxton County will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Liberty (Clarksburg, WV).

The Vikings now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Frankfort for a Potomac Valley contest on Tuesday, August 30. Petersburg will face a Falcons team coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV). The Falcons record now stands at 1-1.
