Next, the Chipps face the Waynedale Golden Bears (Apple Creek, OH) in a Wayne County contest, on Saturday, August 27. Chippewa will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Golden Bears enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Hiland (Berlin, OH).

The Rovers now have a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to John F. Kennedy Catholic for a Portage Trail - County contest on Thursday, September 1.
