Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Commodores face the South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 30. Perry County Central will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Madison Central (Richmond, KY).

The Golden Eagles now have a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Paintsville for a District 57 challenge on Thursday, August 25.
