Chattooga Indians (Summerville, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Trion Bulldogs (Trion, GA), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Temple for a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 27. Chattooga will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to Bowdon (Bowdon, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, Trion falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Dade County (Trenton, GA) to battle the Wolverines in a 1A D-I Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, August 30. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Dade County won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Coosa (Rome, GA)
