In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Frederick Golden Eagles softball team scored a close 9-3 win over the Northridge Grizzlies.

Coming up next, the Golden Eagles battle the Evergreen Cougars (Evergreen, CO) in a non-league outing, on Monday, August 29. Frederick will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 1-6 record after their 7-0 non-league loss to Silver Creek (Longmont, CO).

The Grizzlies (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against Longmont (Longmont, CO). The Trojans enter the non-league outing with a 2-5 record. In their last outing, Longmont tipped George Washington (Denver, CO), 12-2, in a non-league outing.
