The Big Spring Steers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Brownfield Cubs to 1 in the Steers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Steers now have a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Plains for a non-league game on Saturday, August 27. Big Spring will meet a Cowboys team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 17-4.

The Cubs (4-8) will now prepare for their game against Estacado (Lubbock, TX). The Matadors enter the non-league game with a 4-11 record. In their last game, Estacado was nudged by Friona (Friona, TX), 2-0, in a non-league game.
