The Mustangs (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Talkington School for Young Women Leaders (Lubbock, TX). The Warriors enter the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Talkington School for Young Women Leaders was dropped by Friona (Friona, TX), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Childress Bobcats (Childress, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 26. Denver City will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to West Plains (Amarillo, TX).
